A Water Testing Laboratory equiped with modern equipment is functioning under FOSET \u2013 Barrackpore Sub Centre,since 2003. The Laboratory was established by Government of West Bengal and at present Public Health Engineering Department of Govt. of West Bengal is looking after the functioning of the Laboratory.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

On the part of day to day function of the Laboratory , besides testing of all Public drinking water sources of Barrackpore \u2013 I block (9 gram Panchyats) and Barasat \u2013 I block (4 out of 9 gram panchyats) of North 24 Parganas District,as well as all Govt. Hospitals and Schools under Barrackpore Sub-Division and other sources as per need. The Laboratory also undertakes testing of private drinking water sources, on request.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>
